Reaching out to the lost.

11492-bible-pray-woman-study-read-1200w-tnI met these missionaries through a friend. Their lives have been challenging me, and their method of reaching out very simple but effective. From my experience just within these few days trying to speak with different people, I can say that we are all overqualified and underemployed. We need to move out and be actively involved in reaching out.

A Friend of mine introduced us to each other, I got to learn about their work and how they are reaching out to unbelievers around. This method is very effective and will be useful

First I met them at home at a gathering (which I later got to know is called Open House) to tell us about their work. We had a nice fellowship together, shared a meal, discussed a little before we got to the main thing. Saw a presentation and then got to play the game.  I also got my own; one of the best gifts ever for me.

My first experience speaking with someone actually opened up a new world to me: this was someone who had a lot of questions, who had asked questions and gotten all sorts of answers, and was passionate about his answers.

We are come together on Sundays in our best attires and meet up in our own comfort zones, leaving the main work we are supposed to be involved in unattended to. It’s like a doctor- or nurse since Christ is the doctor decides to sit and watch patients die. Stop! Get out and reach out.

It is very important to look at the whole process of discipleship again as a model to help us in evangelism. Discipleship never ends, we are always learning, but that does not stop the disciple from discipline others. He or She helps to raise others, at the same moment he is also growing.

The Conflicting conflict

Conflicts has been a word very dear to the rise of any civilization.

But what really is conflict?

Who are the stakeholders?

How do we resolve conflicts?

What approaches should we take?

What are the risks and problems we will most likely encounter?

These are the questions we all should be asking.

We have experienced a lot of conflicts most of which resulted in catastrophes in the last decade. We are constantly experiencing new conflicts or reaping the repercussions of formerly unresolved conflicts.

The only way forward for us, for humanity, is to get to proper manage and resolve these unstoppable conflicts.




An Offer I Couldn’t Refuse

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Race the Clock.”

We get offered so many things these days, as we walk about our normal businesses, going to school, at work, at home, in the gym, etc.How many of them have we accepted, and how many have we turned down?
For those we accepted, why did we accept them? What is their worth, and what is their value? And for those we turned down, why did we do so? What is the opportunity cost?
The fact is, to every offer we take is a value we get or a loss we incurred, and for every one we turn down is an opportunity cost.
Now how many times do we really evaluate what Value, losses, and opportunity costs that has accrued to us as a result of the offers we refuse or accept? Most of the time we don’t pay attention to that.
Lately my friends tease me a lot because of the kind of questions i ask before i take some offers, questions like do i really need it?Is it going to be useful? What is it’s value to me? But everyone needs to sincerely answer those questions,else you end up with losses.
Our music, films, the internet, etc. offer us so many things. We see pornorgraphy,violence etc being offered, especially to the youths. What do we end up choosing?
The increase in rates of violence, divorce, abortion,terrorism, etc is as a result of the offers we have taken over time. We all can testify to the fact that we have more losses than profits. What does it imply? It implies that most of the time, we have either refused the right offers, or taken the wrong ones.
So many people can come up with different ideas of what they consider to be the right offer in soo many circumstances, but they seldom get it right.You see intellectuals, learned people trying to proffer solutions to our problems by politics, beareaucracy,science, technology but not of those approaches have succeeded.
There is an offer i couldn’t refuse, an offer too good, an offer that am sure has proffered solutions, and will continue to proffer solutions to problems.Anyone who truly understands this offer,can’t refuse it.
What could that offer be?
Its simple! Let the owner fix it. Let the owner of your life fix your problems, because he will do it best. Let the creator fix the Creatures.I know that the solution to all kinds of problems we see around today, is to accept this offer. Are you ready to get rid of your losses?To part with the problems and enter final rest?
Then let him take the wheels. Let the lord, be the lord of your life. Enthrone God over your life. Accept his simple offer through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross for your redemption. Earlier i said anyone who truly understands the offer can’t refuse it. Now also, anyone who truly wants a change, to get rid of the losses, can’t afford to refuse the offer, this offer of love.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him will not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16
Are you ready to see a fix in your life? There is a free free way, that you will rarely hear about today,because the world tries to hide it. Come to Jesus.Accept him.

Pray this prayer: “Lord Jesus, i invite you today to take absolute charge of my life. I am tired of the losses. I surrender all”
